In the decade or so that I have experienced the working world, one of my main realizations has been that persistent hard work will only get you so far a lot of the time. Decent breaks are a necessity to maintain your sanity and ability to contribute in the workplace, and you're not always going to get rewarded for being the one busting a gut while others loaf around and do nothing.
While this may sound demoralizing, understanding this can open you up to a whole new perspective on earning a living. It's one that is frequently shared by work memes.
