Since the dawn of comics, comic book fans have written to share their grievances about the superhero media they consume. One of my favorites was a 1994 letter written to Marvel asking for an incredibly specific drawing of Thor in upcoming editions.

"I am a black female, late 20s. I want to see Thor N*DE! The Dan Panosian/Tom Smith picture didn't do him justice (in fact, 60% of all Thor pictures don't do him justice). THOR is truly a godsend. Please draw him much more handsome and n*de in next year's issue! Thank you."

Wherever that diva is today, I hope she's doing well. It takes guts to ask Marvel directly to create images that are usually reserved for your most gatekept blog pages. If you agree with her request or admire her gusto, these Marvel memes won't require you to write in for them.
