In the current age of Disney dominance, it's hard to believe that nearly 40 years ago, the animation studio was on the brink of going under. In today's day and age, even with recent low-performing releases like Wish and Strange World losing a lot of money, they are a mere blip on the Disney brand. Disney has so many plates spinning at once that it is impossible for the company to lose the kind of money they lost back in the pre-Eisner days and during the end-of-Eisner days. As long as that competent and boring man Bob Iger is in charge of Disney, they will keep making safe bets like Moana 2 to more than keep their head above water.
