Stake expands into Denmark with MocinoPlay acquisition

Stake, an online gambling operator, is expanding into Denmark through an agreement to acquire MocinoPlay, the company of the VinderCasino brand.

The financial details of the deal remain undisclosed, and its completion is pending approval from Denmark’s regulator. Stake has not specified a timeline for finalizing the acquisition. The company stated that the deal aligns with its strategy to expand into regulated markets globally. By acquiring MocinoPlay, Stake aims to establish a presence in Denmark, marking its entry into Northern Europe.

The deal follows Stake’s recent launch in Brazil’s newly regulated market, which opened on January 1, after securing a license late last year. Stake has been actively expanding in regulated markets through acquisitions, including the purchase of Italy-based Baldo Line and its Idealbet.it brand in July, and Betfair Colombia in November 2023, marking its initial entry into Latin America. Its presence in the region has grown further with its recent Brazil launch.
