The incoming new chair of the Dutch gambling regulator will debut his inaugural speech at iGB L!VE this summer.
Michel Groothuizen is set to succeed René Jansen at Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) starting July 1 and will grace the Pulse Stage at RAI Amsterdam on July 17.
Clarion Gaming, the organizers of iGB L!VE, noted Groothuizen’s extensive political and governmental background, marking a full-circle journey from his founding role at KSA in 2012 to his current appointment, having previously served as policy director in the ministry of justice and security. His tenure begins amidst industry critique of KSA’s perceived heavy-handedness and inaccessibility. Groothuizen, however, embraces the challenge of fostering safer gambling practices and will unveil his strategies to iGB L!VE attendees.
Naomi Barton, Portfolio Director, highlighted the Pulse feature of this year’s iGB L!VE, promising insights into core themes such as Markets and Convergence, Player Engagement, Building for the Future, and Protecting Your Business.
This year’s event marks the final edition in Amsterdam before its relocation to London’s ExCeL.
