DeNA and The Pokemon Company just announced a new subsidiary (66.6% with DeNA and 33.4% with The Pokemon Company) called Pokemon Card D Studio. Pokemon Card D Studio has been established to continue the strong partnership the two have, and also handle Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket which is set to release this year on iOS and Android. Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket was announced in February this year, and it is in the works for mobile release later this year. This subsidiary and change happened on April 26th this year. Watch the Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket announcement trailer below:
As revealed before, Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket is being developed in collaboration with Creatures Inc, the creators of the Pokemon TCG, and DeNA. It will be a free to start game on mobile. All players will get two booster packs for free daily, and Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket will also include new cards only available in this app. Check out the official website here. Iām curious to see how much content Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket launches with when it arrives later this year, and how much staying power it ends up having compared to the many other card games and Pokemon games on mobile. I also want to see if this new subsidiary works on more projects alongside Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket. What do you think of Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket and this new subsidiary under DeNA and The Pokemon Company?
