Install tails OS on usb and set up persistant storage
- Install Remmina RDP software (sudo apt-get update && apt-get install remmina-plugin-rdp), you might have to add some repositories in sources.list. After that, tails will install it automatically every time you start it up and unlock persistant storage(make sure you enable additional software setting in persistent storage). On tails you have to rdp through torsocks, so command is "torsocks remmina", might need to use sudo
- Even though you're going through tor, make sure you get a private rdp or vps and disable connection logs on it, how to do this depends on the system you're using. You can do it manually in some gui, write a bash script ect. Just make sure you do it.
- Host your own Monero node on tails, NEVER EVER use public nodes. It will take a long time to download the blockchain through tor but it's well worth it. Besides, you don't have to download it all, you can prune it, simply meaning you're downloading enough for it to work(like 60gb at this time). Google how to do this, I'm too lazy to write all steps but you'll need an external hard drive
- If you need to exchange crypto (mostly monero to btc and vice versa) there's a multitude of sites you can use without kys or any kind of registration. Like 2.5% commission at most, which is very good.
- Mix your btc a few times with something like sinbad, THEN transfer to monero ledger, the rate is also very good, similar to the above. Anonymizing crypto is cheap for what you're getting, so make sure you do it and do it right
There is a lot of drawbacks to this system also, speed, efficiency ect, and it's not magic, you still have to think.
In summary, it's dumb getting caught over some ip or dns leak because your vpn decided to not do it's job. Stay safe out there people
