It's official: the gyms are crowded, membership prices have spiked, and they're sold out of your favorite protein powder at the grocery store. January means everyone and their mother is trying to be a better version of themselves, and for a lot of those people, that means going to the gym. Sure, their numbers may have thinned come February, but we commend anyone for trying. After all, going to the gym if you're not used to going to the gym can be a large hurdle to overcome (no pun intended, this is not track and field).
Walking into a gym can feel like walking into a crowded cafeteria when you're the new kid in school. Where do you sit? Who do you sit with? What machine will you use first? That one looks scary. What if someone makes fun of you for using it wrong? These are all the things that go through a first-time gym bro's head. And we're here to say that you're not alone.
