It's finally Friday. The woes of the workweek are slowly melting away and the promise of a paid holiday next week is what's getting you through this one. Though Thanksgiving can be a stressful time for some, we can all agree that having a couple of days out of the office trumps any in-law dispute—especially when you can watch the fallout as you chomp down on some turkey and mashed potatoes!
As we're nearing the end of the year, it's important to reflect on what has and hasn't been working for us in our work lives. Can we negotiate more PTO? A four-day workweek, perhaps? Even if nothing changes next year, your mindset can! Making time for yourself outside of your 9-5 might be a bit tiring, but we believe in you! Instead of focusing on the targets you have to hit before the quarter ends, daydream about going in for seconds and thirds this Thanksgiving. There's time to worry about our misgivings in the new year, but for now: Bring on the festivities (and the happy hours)!
